The OVENU business was set up back in 1993 in Wokingham, Berkshire.

 

Trading started in April of 1994 and the service immediately sparked the imagination of dozens of clients following an article in the local paper. Word soon travelled about the spectacular results being achieved transforming even the dirtiest of ovens back to near showroom condition.

 

By the end of 1994, clients were starting to re-order the OVENU service and were now beginning to recognise the many benefits of using the professional oven valeting service. Further testing and developing the OVENU branded products soon lead to the company being able to extend the service to include the professional valeting of hobs, extractor hoods, microwave ovens and BBQ shelving.

 

Towards the middle of 1995 it was clear that the service was in such demand that two extra operators were appointed having been fully trained in all aspects of cleaning, valeting and customer care.

 

In the early part of 1996 two further technicians were appointed to run the OVENU business in their own areas in the Thames Valley around Reading and Newbury.

 

It was always the intention to expand the OVENU brand by franchising so that all the operators actually run their own businesses under a far larger corporate brand identity.

 

By 1999 there were 19 franchisees in various locations throughout the UK running their own successful businesses following the exact route that the original business in Wokingham had taken. This is in essence how franchising works.

 

There are now over 100 franchisees in the UK many of which have fully trained operators working with them. The indications are that, towards the end of 2009, there will be in excess of 200 OVENU vans on the roads of the UK.

 

Working under an Overseas Master Franchise, the OVENU brand is now also operating in Australia, Spain, France and the USA.
